Film presentation; Michigan Military Technical & Historical Society presents "Heroes on Deck; WWII on Lake Michigan" This one-hour documentary narrated by legendary CBS and A&E anchorman Bill Kurtis, tells the story of forgotten World War II figher planes at the bottom of Lake Michigan, the brave pilots who trained in them and their link to U.S. victory in the Pacific. DVD copies of the film will be available for purchase. Admission by donation

Macomb Mall Kids Club Free Family Event

January 21 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Gratitude Steel Bank will be on hand for a FREE family-oriented Kids Club Event.  This interactive show will offer a unifying experience of singing, drumming, dancing and excitement for all attendees.  The band members will promote peace and understanding while sharing the musical contributions of African, Caribbean and American musicians alike. The show will be from 3pm to 4pm in the Dick's Sporting Goods Court

Michigan MIlitary Technical & Historical Society “Yankee Air Museum”

Michigan MIlitary Technical & Historical Society "Yankee Air Museum" presentation and book signing The Willow run Bomber Plant opened in 1941 and produced over 8,600 B-24 Liverator bombers.  In 1981 a group of aviation enthusiasts established the Yankee Air Museum about a mile away from the original bomber plant.  The museum built a substantial collection of flyable & static aircraft and aviation artificats, many of which were destroyed in a 2004 fire. The museum bought the last 144,000 square feet…
