2018 Small Business Outreach Events

ON March 28, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Office of the Secretary (OS), and the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) is hosting a series of community outreach events.  These events will educate small businesses about federal procurement.  Discussions and matchmaking sessions are scheduled with HHS and its operating divisions.

Event objectives include:

  • Familiarize small businesses with the processes and procedures associated with federal government contracting
  • Gain insight on identifying and pursuing contract opportunities with HHS
  • An opportunity for small businesses to meet with government representatives
  • Consider HHS spent over $23 Billion in contracts last year; $5 Billion of them in prime contracts to small businesses
  • Hear from the top HHS acquisition and program officials as they discuss how to find opportunities at HHS
  • Gain insight on how to get HHS procurement ready
  • Begin to build effective relationships with HHS and the top prime business who are currently doing business with HHS
