Gratiot Clean Up
The Eastpointe-Roseville Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with several community Organizations coordinated through Christ Community Church in Eastpointe, were thrilled with the level of service provided to the Communities of Eastpointe and Roseville. The 2014 Gratiot Clean Up was a HUGE success, with volunteers cleaning both sides of the Gratiot Corridor from 8 mile to 14 mile (Eastpointe and Roseville). The Macomb County Sheriffs Department graciously provided nearly a dozen Trustees to clean the entire median along the same stretch. Trash bags were collected by two volunteers in trucks and deposited in the City of Eastpointe trash receptacles, with permission to do so authorized by Eastpointe City Manager Steve Duchane.
The Eastpointe-Roseville Chamber of Commerce is proud to support such a project with so many wonderful volunteers who worked diligently to keep Eastpointe and Roseville clean and beautiful. This event was held on Saturday, May 31st from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Immediately afterwards, a lunch was held to feed those hungry volunteers, including our wonderful Macomb County Sheriff Trustees. Left over food was donated to Eastside Teen Outreach, local homeless citizens and the Eastpointe Fire Department.
