Macomb is Open promoting small businesses through county wide effort
STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. (April 27, 2020) – Macomb is Open is a county wide campaign to help
promote small businesses that are still open and what services they are providing or offering to the
community during these unprecedented times.
The partnership is between local chambers including the Sterling Regional Chamber of Commerce,
Macomb County Chamber of Commerce, Anchor Bay Chamber of Commerce, the Greater
Romeo/Washington Chamber of Commerce, The Eastpointe-Roseville Chamber of Commerce, Richmond
Area Chamber of Commerce, and Macomb County Government.
“I am pleased to see the leaders of our chambers collaborating in this way.” said County Executive Mark
A. Hackel. “I encourage residents and other businesses to support our local restaurants who remain
open serving meals in a safe manner.”
The campaign kicked off April 23 through social media efforts and other online promotions. Macomb
County businesses can fill out a google form that will be published to the public, letting them know that
they are still open and what their organization or business is providing as far as services, products or
discounts. The google form can be found using this link: https://bit.ly/2XPKqwB.
Sterling Heights Regional Chamber President, Stacy Ziarko is excited to launch this campaign for the
county, “We want to make sure that businesses throughout Macomb County are here for years to come
and we hope that we can all support each other during this new and unchartered time,” Ziarko said.
More information can be found at www.shrcci.com. SHRCCI wants to thank the community in advance
for their support in patronizing and help spread the word about local businesses and organizations who
are still open for business.
