For those not familiar, the CA1 was designed as part of an air transportable construction set, it could fit into a CG-4A glider or into a C-47. It is about the same size as a standard WWII Jeep. During WWII, the Clark Equipment Co. of Buchanan Michigan made about 2500 CA1’s for the war effort.
The museum has secured a reasonable complete, unrestored CA1 for our collection, we plan on putting this unique little vehicle on display pending a future restoration.
We have negotiated a price for the bulldozer ($5900) and are currently looking at transport to get it “home”.
We have created a fundraiser on our Crowdrise page, and would like to raise $7000 to recover the cost of the Clark, plus some extra money to put toward getting it moved here. If, by some chance, we raise more, that money will go towards the restoration! Who wants to own a piece of bulldozer?
